In accordance with Articles R.4451-122 to 124 of the Labor Code and Article R.1333-19 of the French Public Health Code, the mission of the Radiation Protection Advisor (RPA/PCR) in a dental practice includes assisting the Head of the Establishment in the following actions:
~ Assistance in preparing the ASNR declaration file for dental X-ray generators.
~ Workstation analysis, risk assessment, and establishment of regulated areas within the practice; classification of personnel; implementation of appropriate signage and associated internal regulations.
~ Radiation protection training and information for staff working in monitored areas (to be renewed every 3 years) and implementation of protocols to improve radiation safety for personnel working in regulated zones.
~ Implementation and monitoring the individual dosimetry, if necessary.
~ Establishment of ambient radiation measurements within the practice, proportional to the assessed risk.
